What is UV DTF Printing?

UV DTF, or Ultra Violet Direct-to-Film, is a specialty transfer process designed for decorating hard, smooth surfaces. Designs are printed in full color onto a transfer film using UV-cured inks, then transferred directly onto the finished product.

Unlike traditional DTF, UV DTF does not require heat or a heat press. The adhesive-backed transfer can be applied by hand to compatible surfaces, making it an efficient solution for customizing a wide variety of products.

How UV DTF Works

PRINT
Your artwork is printed in full color onto a specialized UV DTF film using UV-cured inks.

LAMINATE
A clear adhesive film is applied over the printed design, creating the finished transfer.

​

PEEL
The transfer is separated from its backing and positioned onto the desired surface.

​

APPLY
Press the transfer firmly onto the surface, then remove the carrier film to reveal the finished design.
